Promoting your green business is vital to our mission at Upland Hills EAC. It’s
not enough to educate the public and our growing UHEAC community about the
problems caused by products that are unhealthy for people and planet, we must
motivate them to buy from businesses, like yours, that are providing practical
earth-friendly solutions. Our vision is a diverse, abundant and self-sufficient
local economy that meets the triple bottom line that promotes people, planet and
prosperity.
UHEAC Business Memberships Now Available!
For the first time in its 30 year history, Upland Hills EAC is offering
businesses an opportunity to join as Business Members. The goals of the UHEAC
Business Network include to:
promote green business, products and service to the public and to the 3,000+
and growing EAC community
provide resources to member businesses for improving their ecological,
societal and financial bottom lines
offer discounted advertising in the quarterly EcoLogic and monthly UHEAC News
& Events Emails, both sent to over 2,500 recipients
provide discounted exhibition and sponsorship opportunities at UHEAC events
including the Earth Day Expo, attended by over 6,000 in 2008
gain media coverage for green business and member businesses
offer discounted, high-quality, earth-friendly marketing, consulting and other
services through a growing network of preferred service providers

local media including live TV coverage, dozens of articles in local newspapers

the annual Earth Day Expo, presented around April
22nd, with attendance of 6,000 in 2008 and 50,000+ targeted attendance for 2009

The EAC Business Membership provides you access to a growing list of valuable
services and discounts through a network of preferred service providers
including “green-friendly” marketing, insurance, accounting, energy, lighting,
printing, consulting and supplies. We can help you improve your ecological
footprint and earth-friendly image, as well as your bottom line.

Join Today!
To apply to become a member, simply provide your business and contact names,
address, phone, email, business category/industry, product & services list, a
description of your efforts to green your products and company, and, your
membership fee (see below) amount. Send this by email, with subject line “Business Member
Application”, to john@uheac.org. You will receive a prompt reply. We look
forward to working with you to promote the local, green economy!
Determine Your Annual Membership Fee
Membership fees are contributions that you determine yourself. We suggest a rate
of $0.50 per $1,000 in annual revenue, with a minimum of $50. Thus, a company
with $500k in annual revenues would donate $250 annually. If your finances do
not allow you to donate at that level, we ask that you donate whatever you can.
We particularly would encourage non-profits organizations, renewable energy
companies, start-ups, and companies serving under-served markets to join
regardless of funds available for membership.
